Hardware acceleration during playback

Is there a way to set ffmpeg's parameters during playback?  I specifically want to use my graphics card's hardware acceleration

I see "Default transcoder args" in the logs, but I cannot see a way to set these in the admin panels or config.xml file.

Did you check Settings->Transcoder and try some of the default settings?

You can change some but not all ffmpeg settings in config.xml depending on what type of playback you are talking about. Changing it manually is not supported but this link might offer clues on what to do https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?tid=62746. There is a line in the logs that shows what is being sent.

Changing the video encoder to VAAPI is a step in the right direction because the ffmpeg parameters include options for hardware acceleration for VAAPI. I'm specifically looking for hardware acceleration for NVidia. If there could be a way to include that as an encoder option with NVidia parameters then that would be ideal, but as you were saying changing the parameters manually is not supported.

You can try using your own manual settings we just don't support figuring out the command line you use. See the variables passed in square brackets as your guide.
