In playing back a recording using the mouse to manually skip-ahead to a later time in the recorded video, strange things happen as shown in the attached Screenshot. First, the current time of the playback is shown on the left to be an impossible 44-minutes (00:44:22), because it is more than the length of a 30-minute recording. On the right, the total time of the recording is shown to be 33-minutes (00.32:59), which is correct including pre/post padding of 1 + 2 minutes.
Besides that, immediately after the skip ahead, the played-back video always shows the commercial and whatnot from the pre-padding time period. Then, if the skip-ahead is repeated, it always starts by showing the same beginning video segment. Eventually, If the skip_ahead is repeated (too often), then the recording playback ends. If recording playback is restarted (selecting "Resume"), then it restarts with the commercial that is at the beginning of the recording again.
The skip-ahead described above is done using the mouse's left button and pointer to drag the small circular time indicator to the right about an inch to a later time. Clicking the mouse pointer on the left and right arrows on the Screen has the same kind of problems, but are more confusing because of the small time increments.
I have not included the actual recording files because they seem to be OK. They [attachment=undefined]can be played back without any problems using the "Parole Media Player" which is included in the standard Stable Debian 12 Linux Distribution.
