Hi, I'm really struggling to know how to edit the channels on nextpvr. I edited the list of categories on the right hand side and removed about 40 of the 60 or so categories of channels by pressing on the bin icon and confirming a delete. When nextpvr loads the channels into Kodi however it's still loading absolutely every single channel as if I had not made any edit at all. The list of channels on the next VPR web interface, also has every single one of them ticked. So again deleting various categories on the right hand side seems to do nothing. I can't understand what I'm doing wrong, because there's no option to save anything once I've deleted various sections using the bin icon. Thanks very much for any help.

There are two ways

- go into PVR Settings and reset channels
- if you are running Piers I added channel updating for maintenance but it only triggers after an EPG update.

Perhaps I should have explained, I'm trying to do this on the backend localhost:8866 page on the PC. My frontend Kodi installation is on an Android TV. I don't think either of those settings are on either of those cases above

Those would be Kodi changes after you finish maintenance.

Okay thanks, I can see the group management option on Kodi now. There's a list of available groups on the left hand side of the screen, and on the right side of the screen, there is add group renamed group and hide group. To do what I want to do obviously I need to activate hide group. But I can't see any way of how to actually hide a group. If I have hide group activated and press the group that I want to hide, nothing happens.

Is the hide group option something that can only be done on Kodi pc? Also the option to delete group is grayed out on Android TV, I'm assuming again I can only do this on pc?

Channel groups can be created in NextPVR or Kodi your choice but that wasnt what you started with. Generally doing it in NextPVR is most portable. Is your problem fixed.

I don't want to create any groups, I'm trying to delete them or at the very least hide them. And as I said earlier there seems to be no intuitive way of hiding them on Kodi Android TV next PVR app

I should have written manage groups not create. You can create, modify and delete groups in NextPVR on the Settings->Channels->Advanced Tools->Channel Groups

Yes I'm aware you can do that in theory, but I literally don't know how to do it physically. Also, as I said, delete groups is grayed out on the next PVR Kodi Android TV. I'm assuming that if I do it on a Kodi PC, the settings will transfer to the Android TV Kodi next PVR? On your Android TV app, under channel groups, the right side lists the channels, and the right side is the options to modify them. And I can't see any way of making the two sides interact with each other
