With the Schedules Direct issue I decided to upgrade from 4.52 to the current version. Overall it went pretty well. Some of my tv recordings did not transfer over and I just started looking into that. Also, when playing thru the web browser, it says that it is having problems playing with the server (I only have one machine). i found where the desktop app can be accessed but it is showing the menu setup from the 4.52 version which I had tv listings, weather, and a few other plugins added but those of course dont work with the new 7+ version and when I go to try and access the shows that I recorded, I cannot get into that menu to access the recordings. So I went into the 4.52 version and unchecked those from showing. But when I go into the 7+ version the same menus are still showing. I am guessing it is using some sort of cache for the setup? I am at work and cannot attached any zip files for the moment.

One of the plugins I used was for all the movies that I have on a hard drive and I am hoping there is something similar for the newest version. I am very pleased overall with the change over to the newest version and Look forward to getting it going fully. Just looking for some tips/advice if possible with the limited information that I have provided so far.

There is no upgrade from v4 forward but there are steps post on how to do it. I did right this recently on how you might import them https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...#pid602709

Also you cannot run v4 and v7 on the same server you have to set different ports from the webserver in config.xml.

crikey, that's going back a bit! I used to have an Abit NF7 mobo in the early 2000's with an AMD Athlon XP.
Well done for keeping that rig out of landfill for all of this time. I thought I was doing pretty well keeping my 2011 Intel 2500K still running (on win11 as well).

Sadly plugins went away some years ago, although perhaps they were at times compensating for deficiencies in NPVR that no longer exist. The movies plugin was indeed superb with its display of movies and ability to download movies trailers from the web. I kind of miss it.
