When using the "Videos" tab in the UIClient, there is a green bar in front of any videos I have watched.
Where is that info stored? I don't believe it's in the DB; in metadata?

I think you mean when you resume a video, there is a green bar at the bottom of the screen with the time on the left showing where you've got to and the time on the right the duration of the video, right?

(Assuming so) This is the progress bar showing how much of the video you have already watched and it does indeed get the information about where in the recording you were up to from the database (from the PLAYBACK_POSITION table to be precise).

No, The green bar I'm talking about appears next to the listing for the video, not during playback. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with whether the video has been previously watched. I think sub is probably gonna have to answer this question. Thanks.

If I recall correctly, that green bar gets displayed when the resume point stored in the database for a recording is "close enough" to the end of the file. I don't recall how the "close enough" is determined, but I'm thinking that it is typically within a few minutes of the end of the file.

I'm referring to "videos", not recordings. I don't believe there is anything stored in the DB for videos?

Sorry - I missed this one.

For any file it's played, it stores the playback position in the database in the PLAYBACK_POSITION table.

Thanx, I missed that. I always tend to look at the Scheduled_Recording table.
So basically, if there's an entry for the file in Playback_Position the green flag will appear?
I noticed there are some really old entries in the table; how is the table cleaned up?

Yes

There isn't really anything that cleans up old entries. However if you delete recording from within NextPVR, it also deletes any corresponding PLAYBACK_POSITION entry.

You could always use sql to delete entries over a certain age if it bothers you though.

In the test that I did, deleting the video file did not remove the entry from the playback position table.
If that's the case, It's not that big a deal so I don't want you use any of your time trying to correct it. Thanks again.

I think that logic might only be for deleting recordings, not random video files.
