So my problem still stands: no tuner sharing possible atm
Try it again using the new release, posted about 15 minutes ago, and using the HDHR device type. If you've still got the issue, we'll take a closer look.

Sure, will try it tonight and post back, thanks for helping Smile

Ok so here we go; I was able to replicate my problem from a clean install. All clients are latest stable Kodi

- Installed the latest stable
- PC1 -> Channel1 -> Ok
- PC2 -> Channel1 -> Ok
- PC3 -> Channel2 -> Ok
- MediaPlayer1 -> Channel 3 -> Ok
- Smartphone w/ Kodi -> Channel 4 -> Not ok

If you need any more information please let me know

First I'm talking network-wise (server vs clients). Second, this is for our family chalet with 8 bedrooms each one with a tv. Third, I have a fairly recent (last month) registered donation to NPVR.

Ok thanks for the clarification. Testing with IPTV was never going to work because a) NextPVR has never supported URL sharing for muilti-rec  and b) the HDHR URL's return 500 if they are reused.  You could add all 4 URLs to the m3u file but that wouldn't prevent your clients from misusing them.

When you go to HDHR mode if Live TV is your thing and you have more than 4 "clients" I think you will need to set config.xml <ReversePriorityForLiveTV to true or you want get real tuner sharing. https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...#pid543312

Thanks a lot for the valuable info! I find it very strange that I just copied the NPVR-data folder from the last PC I used as server and it worked just fine. That's why at first I thought maybe if NPVR is needing minimal CPU/GPU power for tuner sharing to work in the first place and it was some kind of limitation, thus the post of both my PCs specs in the first place. I could understand the concept that sending a single audio+video stream to multiple devices would necessitate more processing power than just retransmitting h.264 video from the tuners. Guess all these preconceptions were wrong.

I'm gonna do the same thing I just did on my newer PC server on the older one; clean install, use 5 devices to test over 4 channels with 2 devices watching one channel and then try one other channel on each other device and then post the log, maybe there is something I'm just not explaining in the right manner (English is a second language for me).

Thanks again

Multi-rec (shared tuners) won't uses a lot of CPU and no GPU to direct play clients like NextPVR and Kodi. Yes to the browser that is a different story.

Your English is fine, mieux que ma langue francaise.

Thanks a lot Martin, your French isn't bad either! I'm gonna thoroughly read the post you sent me and do some more experimentation. Gonna be an exciting couple of days!

Have a nice one

So, setting ReverseTunerPolarity to False definitely fixed the problem! Thank you so much for the expedite help, I'm so glad this is all working, and so will the family once I tell the elders we got HD TV in every room!
