Streaming Failed (transcoder exited)

Hi all, new to this, I got my Hauppauge WinTV-SoloHD model 01589 Freeview HD tuner for PC with the idea to get some local tv on my jellyfin server.
In order to do it, I got to the point of using nextPVR, however after installing and scanning all the channels I got the error in the subject.
The channels are working on the WinTV software without issues.

Could you help please, I've gone through similar threads but couldn't solve my issue

Ideally you should be testing with a direct play client not the web client (that error is a catch all message) but for sure you have enabled hw transcoding that is failing

Leave transcoding in software mode until you get the basic system working.

After that I am seeing lots of signal related issues (although I can't confirm that the channels aren't encrypted) but you did a DVB-T scan when I think you want DVB-C which may have caused some driver requiring a reboot.

I would reboot and don't do and EPG scan (not sure if your cable provider has this available via cable) but it could take a long time. Then start a channel that you know works in WinTV (assuming the same PC) and then if it still fails send the logs. again.

Hi, thanks for the feedback,

Avoid transcoding where possible (for better performance) is On
and Video Encoder is CPU, but any other option doesn't work either

I did a fresh scan, smilar result in terms of channels with WinTV. On WinTv all channels are workig, but lets focus on BTV HD
I still get in Streaming Failed (transcoder exited) on web nextpvr, however even if I try on the direct play client doesn't work, just there I don't get any error message

I think the only way I might be able to help would be for you to create a fullmux capture of the frequency using one of sub's other programs TSCapture https://www.tscapture.com/ Sub is the author of NextPVR and but he was also the author and original architect of WinTV so there shouldn't be much difference in how these work.

BTV-HD is on frequency 650000 and please provide a link to the full mux recording on some external storage like OneDrive when you have time.

To save you effort, I don't see any need to test so many frequencies.

This that is exactly what I am looking for it passed my initial tests too. (Lethal Weapon might not match the current guide)

Just to confirm you are using exactly the same machine for test WinTV and NextPVR and after you rebooted you didn't start WinTV?  You did toggle on "Keep digital tuners primed" which implies you are restricted to using NextPVR.  Just to be sure maybe set primed back to the default (unticked)  If that fails, I think sub needs to looks since the only thing I see different is this line

You do have very high bitrate streams for OTA, it is shame use anything but direct play with them

I've managed to get it work, to answer your questions it was same machine and WinTv was not working when I was trying to run NextPVR.
What I did to get it work was, unistall WinTv, unistall NextPVR, unplug the device and plug it back in. Then I've isntalled fresh NextPVR and boom it works.

I am not excatly sure what fixed the issue, as on before my first install of NextPVR I've installed only the drivers not WinTV - and at this point of time NextPVR didn't work.
Then I've installed WinTV to see if the device is working at all.

It was most likely the issue with using the device primed when you also were using WinTV.
