I have experienced the same problem. I was unable to stop or remove the updates from Microsoft on 10/14/2025. There seems to be an issue with my Hauppauge quadhd pci express tuner. I have had to reinstall drivers for this device, but, the live TV only works some of the time, then stops altogether. My Hauppauge Win10 live TV viewing program is not working either. Ideas? I am currently on Windows 11 pro, version 24H2, if that helps.

If you can't uninstall the updates or do a system restore prior to this week, you are pretty much SOL. Make sure you have tried all the things on the other Microsoft thread I linked and some apparently working suggestions are hidden in the comments. There are also comments on using DISM here https://windowsforum.com/threads/windows...de.384841/ but that would be predicated on a good system backup, it is lower level.

After much faffing around, I finally got my PC to upgrade to Windows 11 24H2 yesterday. There were a few things that didn't quite work after the update, one of which was NPVR. I had the same symptoms as described here - it would start but as soon as there was any type of recording/EPG update the notification icon would grey out, the recording would fail and NPVR would no longer see my Hauppauge Quad tuner card. I tried updating NPVR (I was using quite an old version) with no luck. I looked for the Windows updates that were suspected, but they did not appear in my updates list (perhaps they were intrinsic to my 24H2 update) so I couldn't uninstall them. The Hauppauge WinTV app however did work ok.

Anyway, as part trying to get things working last night , I did a Windows update which gave me the update to 25H2 (in for a penny, in for a pound) which installed very quickly, probably faster than most monthly updates. Whilst messing with something else that wasn't working, I noticed that NPVR was recording. This was late last night, so I checked this morning and sure enough there were actually three recordings over night and the EPG had updated, so it seems to be working again and I'm going to assume that was due to the 25H2 update. I will test a little further when I have time this evening, but I thought I'd mention this in case it helps anyone else - is anyone running 25H2 and also having this issue or is the issue a 24H2 thing?

Ah, not purely a 24H2 issue then. I'm a bit paranoid that I'll reboot my machine this evening and it'll all stop working again!

I have exactly the same problem with 24H2 after installing KB5066835 although it's quite funny because the preview version KB5065789 caused no problems.
I uninstalled KB5066835 using wusa /uninstall /kb:5066835 and it worked again, but to really make sure my good friend Macrium Reflect does a daily update so I restored my complete installation to the 14th, the day before the update now everything is just fine... I also paused updates for four weeks although if Microsoft's current performance is anything to go by it may not be fixed by then! (No Windows Fingerprint since 24H2 update in February)
I'm seriously considering a permanent move to Linux (Mint) or at least having a dual boot setup.
