nextpvr version:  7.0.3.250920

Since updating to this version I have noticed that the season and episode numbers are not being correctly identified for some
programs when using the broadcast EPG.  My location is the UK.

An example is as follows:
   From nextpvr:
   Mortimer & Whitehouse: Gone Fishing
(S00E01) Paul and Bob travel to Hampshire to fly fish in the idyllic River Itchen with their trusty canine friend Ted in tow. Also in HD. [S,AD]

The raw EPG  had the following data:
   name: "Mortimer & Whitehouse: Gone...",
description: "...Fishing. 1/6. Paul and Bob travel to Hampshire to fly fish in the idyllic River Itchen with their trusty canine friend Ted in tow. [S,AD] [HD]"

There are quite a few UK shows using this n/n format which do not appear to be identified correctly.

If you need any further details, let me know.

It doesn't appear to be consistent, BBC TWO HD shows one of them as 1/6 and the others as S00E01

The distinction is normally these are limited series meaning 1 of 6 etc but clearly the source is omitting the actual series number since this has been one for several years, have a look at the upcoming shows here https://www.freeview.co.uk/tv-guide?userNid=64257

They aren't defined field in the UK data, that is just how sub decided to use regex to extract the info from the combined name and description filed. Normally with shows with good data this is important because NextPVR creates the unique identifier to avoid duplicates are the name-season-episode-part. Unfortunately many in this "series" had 6 parts. It actually looks like there is bug in the logic somewhere since NextPVR isn't supposed to strip out that 1/6 since the NextPVR doesn't display it.

I'd really appreciate it if someone could provide me with a one minute fullmux capture of BBC TWO (showing the current season) It is curious that the regex failed for at least one episode too. I can explain how if you don't know how to do this.

Just scan and from here https://tscapture.com/TSCapture4.png choose BBC TWO or BBC TWO HD and hit the radio button for the full ts, one minute will be fine. The upload to Google Drive or One Drive and send me the link.

DVB-S Freesat will be different the frequency is 11426

I can do a capture using dvbv5-zap (I think, if I can remember how to use it), but it looks as if someone else was quicker to reqeust. If you need another from me, just let me know.

Thanks for reference the syntax would be similar to

Code:
dvbv5-zap -c /var/opt/nextpvr/adapter0-DVB-T-channels.conf BBC\ TWO -P -t 60 -o fullmux.ts

Thanks guys.  Wouldn't you know for that first it is "fine" it didn't parse the 1/6 to create an S000 record but it didn't create E006 either.  I did fine that there is a similar issue with Detective on Radio 4 ex which I can use.  I didn't use the CRID for the unique id so that might help explain the issue.

There might be a timing issue on how data is received so I can use both files.

I forgot that some of your channels use the CRID so the unque id isn't always a problem I can explain why some don't have the CRID too.
