Adding a channel

Someone mentioned that TV3 in NZ is now broadcast in HD via satellite, so I thought I'd tune it in...

I have a dual TBS6902 tuner so I went to tuner one, set the satellite (eventually found the right one), it tuned and I kept two copies of what I hope are TV3 HD, channel numbers 36 and 48. It asked to update the guide. It did not ask to copy new stuff over to tuner 2. I therefore tuned tuner 2 in (I hope) the same way. This time it found TV3 twice, but with channel numbers 64 and 76. I updated the epg. Now I have 4 TV3 HD channels (I think) with 4 channel numbers with two on DVB tuner 1 and two on DVB tuner 2.

Is there an obvious way to combine two of these channels onto both tuners so that, say 36 and 48 are on both tuners 1 and 2 ?

The best way to update tuners after a scan to avoid losing recordings (which I don't think you care about anyway is)

- scan tuner one and make sure the new channels work correctly.
- open all the other tuners and on them hit the trash can, close and reopen and copy when prompted.

That was easy - thanks. Just have to get the epg to appear for that channel. Maybe its just not available yet though.

Maybe go to Settings->Channels and use the wrench and set the merged channel to to None and the back to ATSC/DVB

Tried that followed by Update epg. Still nothing. If it matters it says 3767 inserted, just like it said 3767 inserted the previous time I did Update epg.

If you want to see if there is EPG data, we'd need need a full mux of the frequency captured with sub's tscapture program https://tscapture.com/

I don't think that is going to work as it has a different Optus D1 list from NextPVR. The new ones are on Freq 12530 and it skipped straight over that.

You can use the same tuning file we made for NextPVR

I looked in the TScapture directory and don't see anywhere to put it, its just files. In NextPVR it in a Tuning > DVB-S folder.

Ah, you probably don't remember were the tuning files were before v5 with NextPVR Try

C:\Users\Public\TSCapture\Tuning\DVB-S
