NextPVR status says device is recording when it is not

Hello,

I tried to install a a Windows 11 update today and noticed that NextPVR is running.  Checking NextPVR "Status" produced the attached output. I checked both the web and the desktop interface to NextPVR and could not find anything currently recording.  Moreover, it has been in this state all day (about 8 hours).

I've also attached log files for your reference.

Should I just go ahead and let Windows update itself (and effectively end the running job), or try to fix whatever the problem is first?

Logs need to be under 2MB and zipped. That would indicated a failed EPG update (or an EPG update is in progress) The message is changing in the NextPVR update. If the issue is the failure a reboot would be a good thing.

I used the onboard tool in the web interface to generate the log files. Do I need to selectively edit those files to reduce their size? I just tried generating them again and got a file of size 2.1 MB. I didn't attach it because it's evidently too big.

Also, I checked the settings on NextPVR and could not find any reference to a failed EPG update, so I manually tried to update again. I got the following message: "EPG Update complete. [44644 inserted, 0 updated, 0 skipped].

I will go ahead and tell Windows to update itself and see what happens.

The current public version of NPVR has been known to occasionally fail during an EPG updates leaving the tuner it used locked and the pipe.... message showing in the tuner status. This is not a recording but NPVR behaves like it is doing things like preventing the PC from entering sleep.

The problem can be cancelled by restarting the NPVR service or rebooting the PC.

The next release of NPVR software has some changes which seem to avoid the problem occurring.
