Can't find recorded files to edit them

My computer crashed, c drive had to be replaced and rebuilt, not sure what might be set up differently.  I record programmes and edit them down for storage.  Last night a couple were recorded - I can watch them in Kodi - but I can't find the files.  They're not in the folder that I have set in Recording Directory in Settings in General in NextPVR.  I've searched for the files to no avail.  There is a database file in Users\Public\NPVR, not sure if that's the files or just a record of them.  Help would be appreciated.

We can't guess. You need to post your logs if you want help. They will show where your recordings are being put.

I started a recording, then cancelled it after 20 minutes or so (ran out of time) but it didn't make a log.  So here are last night's.  No, I can't attach it, even though I made it a zip file.  Also deleted some old ones I'd posted in the past, in case that was the problem. Now I really don't understand - the file had a red cross next to it, which I took to say it wasn't being uploaded. But there it is.

If the logs are more than 2MB they can't be uploaded and youi need to use external storage. Nothing in this log of note except perhaps the timezone of your PC is not set correctly or perhaps the tuner is disabled. The next recording seems to be <start_time>18/04/2026 7:31:30 PM</start_time> and no recordings took place in this log.

So where was it storing the recordings?
There was a show that started recording at 7.48 pm.  It recorded for one hour and twenty six minutes.  What time did the log finish?  I am still having problems with white screens - but I couldn't reboot this this morning, because it was recording.

You didn't send logs for 7:48 (which is why you should never send filtered logs)

Filtered logs? How did I do that. I just went to the folder, right clicked, told it to create the zipfile and uploaded it.

As Martin said, we need the whole logs (not a "filtered" selection of just one file).
If the logs when zipped are greater than 2mb they are too big to upload here. You'll need to put them in cloud storage such as OneDrive, Dropbox etc and post the link to them here.

Filtered logs?  How did I do that.  I just went to the folder, right clicked, told it to create the zipfile and uploaded it.

On the web interface, there is a button to get the logs.  It will flush any messages that haven't been written to the logs yet & create a zip file.  If that file is less than 2 Meg, you can post it here.  If it is lager, you need to post it on an external site & put the link to it here.

Using the button on the web interface is better than creating the logs yourself from File Explorer.
