Is there a way to setup Next PVR to automatically:

-- Delete Videos that have already been viewed
-- Delete Videos that have aged like anything more than three weeks old.

There is only really a couple of things on this front:
- if you play to the end of a file, it does ask you if you want to delete the file.
- when scheduling recurring recordings, you can tell it to only keep the last X episodes. older ones will be deleted.

I think deleting old recording by age under NextPVR control would be really dangerous. On Linux and Windows you can script deleting files based on age though based on a folder and extension etc. NextPVR is typically configured to delete removed files for the database and view.

If you want a script AI can be very helpful, but be careful on extensions.

Yes, you can manage this using NextPVR’s built-in settings and scripts. In the Recording settings, you can set the Archive / Delete options per recurring recording to automatically cap how long shows are kept. For deleting already viewed files or age-based cleanup, most users set up a custom PostProcessing.bat script that scans the media folder and purges old or watched files automatically.

Beyond TV had a nice feature where you could specify to delete the recording after N days. I mainly used that for nightly talk shows and some sporting events. The advantage over keep the last N recordings is they would be removed when the nightly show was on a break for a week or more.
