recording one channel causes serviceto crash -

'we got one' as they say....

recording abcnews at noon - the nextpvr service crashes and wont restart - even after a reboot.

this has happened before and i need to either delete the db file or uninstall/reinstall to get nextpvr back

interersting aside - in some of the log files its looking for a languages folder that does not exist

the main problem - if i try to record any abc channel, it takes out the service and kills it with fire.

these logs were gathered manually - there is no access to settings to press the 'get logs' button

Is it only ABC channels from mjh.nz?

yes - only abc channels cause the crash...

I can't explain the crash but don't schedule ABC channels until 7.0.6 comes out. If you aren't seeing anything in the Windows Event Viewer it might not be a crash it might be a long internet timeout.

yeah nah i figured out to avoid abc a while ago :-)

i crashed it deliberately today just for you, and because i had time to delete the .db file and re-do the channel set up.

P.S before i delete the .db file i tried a computer reboot, and noticed that windows showed a warning that nextpvr was still recording....
this was despite not being able to connect to the server, and the tray icon being gray.


Whats the rough ETA on 7.06?

P.S.S. i still cant figure out whats wrong with the recordings that get the 'recording interrupted' error (should be some in the logs as well)

when i use ffmpeg command line to record using the same m3u8 there are no issues....

I suspect you are using a vpn and it has trouble with c.mjh.nz so it goes into a black hole. The only change in 7.0.6 is it forced to ffmpeg I suspect it will have the same problems. Release date s up to sub.

What I would do is start NextPVR got to the Web setting main page and hold the ctrl key and enable verbose logging. Then try an ABC channel with Live TV and then when that fails send the logs.
