Can't update NextPVR to latest version.

According to the attached Screenshot of the upper left corner of the NextPVR "Settings" screen, I currently have version 7.0.5.260307 installed ,and would like to update to version 7.1.1.260616 as is also shown on the Settings screen as being the latest available.  To do this from the Linux Command-Line, I basically followed the same procedure as for a first time installation of version 7.1.1 using the commands shown below.

1.   curl https://nextpvr.com/nextpvr-helper.deb -O
2.   dick@deb:~$ sudo apt install ./nextpvr-helper.deb --install-recommends
3.   Reading package lists... Done
4.   Building dependency tree... Done
5.   Reading state information... Done
6.   Note, selecting 'nextpvr-helper' instead of './nextpvr-helper.deb'    :~$ sudo apt install ./nextpvr-helper.deb --install-recommends
7.   nextpvr-helper is already the newest version (3.1).
8.   0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 337 not upgraded.
9.   dick@deb:~$

Lines 6 and 7 seem to suggest that the  Linux Installer (nextpvr-helper.deb) is confused between what is currently installed, and the version it should be installing.  

I have no other way of determining what version is currently installed, so maybe the "Settings"  screen is wrong, or the latest version is already installed.  Any help in resolving this problem would be greatly appreciated.
