Does anyone have some good EPG suggestions that you have had success with?

Schedules Direct is the guide source in the US. They have very complete info, and bonus of good artwork.

TL;DR Do what sub said - get Schedules Direct.

After about 15ish or more years of using zap2xml, mc2xml, etc...I just signed up for a Schedules Direct membership. It was never about the money but more about the challenge of being able to acquire the listings. That being said, when mc2xml went down about 2 weeks ago I decided that I'm tired of playing that game. SD is just so easy and reliable - set it and forget it.

While the zap2xml linked to github above doesn't appear necessarily difficult, it's just more steps and configurations to fiddle with that will likely need to be updated at some point. Maybe I'm getting too old for those games now. LOL. A couple years ago a Reddit user posted a nice script to download the EPG from Silicon Dust (provided you have a HDHomerun). That worked well until Silicon Dust limited access to only 48 hours worth of programming for non-subscribers. I recently noticed that I can access that same data via NPVR directly - but I've grown accustomed to 14 days EPG.

yes I have been a user of mc2xml for years and have also used zap2xml as well. mine just stopped working around 9-30-2026. I am getting sick of this. I just like the idea that we have always had a free way to get our guide. not a lot for schedules direct but it is the principal of it. I am now scouring the forums for someone who found a fix but not many post about this yet.

i'm sure you like the principle of getting something for nothing.....
