Initial blank screen

I have the Hauppauge PVR 150 with the 3dfx voodoo video card (I know, it's very old)

When I run GBPVR, I get an initial blank screen. When I move
the window the video comes alive.

As a result I am unable to run it in full screen mode (because I am unable to move the window)

Any ideas ?

Are you running the latest (last?) drivers for your graphics card? It might help updating them if you're not.
I'm not always right

I looked at the driver details.

Driver Date : March 15/2005
Dirver Version: 2.0.30.23074

I will now check out the website for PVR 150 and see if there
is a newer version out there.

Any other suggestions ?

I upgraded to 2.0.35.23258 which is dated Sep 15/2005
but I still have the same problem. (Just d/l'ed from the website)

To expand a little more, the image briefly (1/2 second) appears and then goes away. After I reposition the window, it appears again (and does not go away)

Sounds a bit weird to me. It shouldn't have anything to do with the 150 drivers, though. Have you tried another mpeg decoder?

If you're using VMR7, try switching to Overlay.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I was using VMR7, when I changed it to overlay, it works well now.

BTW, I am curious, what is the difference between VMR9/7
and overlay ?

thanks guys !
