The program seems to work with unicode pretty well. i have translated some of the interface into Chinese using UTF-8; Everything shows correctly.

The Chinese Filename shows ok on Video Library:

The problem is words shows on GB-PVR is too pixelated, not smooth at all.
the words gets even worse oh the video playing screen.

I wish GB-PVR should have an option to choose the font for the skin.
and also the ID3 in mp3 files are not working for Chinese, even i can play them.

This is because the default skin is designed for 720x480, which works well for our western charactersets, but doesnt really contain enough resolution for a clear display of you characters.

The resolution of the OSD is tied to the output of the video decoder. In this case your video decoder looks like its producing a low resolution decode, about 320x240 or similar. I've seen the Elecard decoder do this. It could just be that this is the resolution of the videos you're trying to play. Try some other video decoders, or possibly use ffdshow to resize all video to a higher resolution during playback, which will also give you more detail in the OSD.

I dont think the ID3 library I use in the Music Library supports these types of character sets. In future I'll see if I can find an alternative.

can i have the option to make the GB-PVR to show the filename of the mp3 files instead of showing the messy ID3 text?
