Using v0.94.13 of GBPVR with no problems on PVR150.
Now trying to configure GBPVR using TV2000 card using WDM Software Encoder Recorder. In config (config screen >> capture sources tab >> Add >> Recording Source) there is no selection on the dropdown for "WDM Software Encoder Recorder".
as suggested I'm posting a screenshot from GraphEdit that Twinhan has provided with it's samples. Haven't yet got it to look like that myself. But I will continue to see if I can get their sample application working with my card, and thus look at it from GraphEdit.
Any hints and comments are appreciated.
Also attaching the Readme file "they" have provided.
I theink the Twinhan PCI DVB-sat card is a "hardware card" . Unless you are trying to do something "special" then I dont think you need the software encoder app.
You should be able to get it to work using native support.
I have had this card working in GBPVR without the software encoder app..
Thanks for the info, unfortunately I have to agree with Kevl. This card will not work with available plugins, and you should rather be asking sub to add support for it in the built it capture sources.
If you want you're more than welcome to adapt this plugin to work with DVB style cards I'm sure there are people out there that would appreciate it.
Yes, it is possible to use this card with the BDA Recorder. But using the builtin CI is not supported.
As far as I understand it has been working but not anymore.
So I'm kind of looking for a workaround. With the external recorder I can use a combination of MyTheatre and VLC to record to the file GBPVR wants, it works but is far from optimal. MyTheatre takes about 50-75% cpu just to forward the stream to VLC.
When looking at the source for External and Software Recorder and found out there was such a good support for custom recorders I thought it would be worth a try.
at the moment, only analog tuning is passed to plugins, so you would have to duplicate a lot of the digital tuning work inside the plugin, unless sub extended the plugin architecture to allow for plugins for digital cards too.
Just an update. I got the on screen display, live tv and recording to all work. Part of the problem was VMR settings for the Cyberlink decoder. Anyway, it all seems to work fine except for channel changing. It still takes a really long time to change a channel.
