Aha, that did the trick ;-)

regarding the album-list. that works too, just not as i expected since the behaviour is different:
when choosing the artist as main entry, right upper displays the albums on which the artist appears and right down the song titles are display.
when choosing the album as main entry, left panel is not used yet it displays als artists.

I'd love if you could change the behaviour of both browsing styles similar. Just a request ;-)

Johnvk. I'm not sure I understand you're request. Basically the point of the 3 boxes is to further drill down to isolate just the songs you want, first from an artist point of view, then once an artist is selected you can choose just one album from that artist, or single tracks.

Mabi, I had a look for that error message, it's talking about database permissions which I don't think it the issue, but it seems to also talk about relationships. Do you have these tracks listed above in a playlist??

Nop they are just MP3 files and since "1985Hounds of Love" which is the directory name comes first they are just first.

The logfile contain one entry for each mp3 file I have (~10000) I just cut out the beginning.....

When I scan my M:\mp3 catalog not a single file is added to the database...

Check the permissions or readonly status on the database (musicLibrary2.mbd in the gbpvr directory). I set mine to read only, did an mp3 update and got the same error message.......and now that I think of it, I think I've done this to people before because i use source control, which sets things to read only.

I'll update the database state inthe wiki.

Well, The problem is that the Database don't contain ANY music, and no files show up....

Did you have the first version of the musicLibrary?? Or only the second. If you had the first, the database format changed.You could try blowing the database away and downloading a new one.

I only tried the second and I have downloaded an empty database...

Don't know what I can do to get mp3's into your database?

Yup It was in read-only As we speak [SIZE="1"](Sort of)[/SIZE] the database get filled up

I've just put another update to the database in to increase the size of the artist, album and title fields.

Filenames shouldn't be a problem I made them REALLY large. But I think the artist or album fields my be limited to 50 characters.
