Hi Psycik,

I understand the meaning of the three boxes and drilling down from artist to album to song. Very need. I also noticed that you implemented channel up/down on the MVP-remote as page up/down. Very need too !

But sometimes i want to play an album filled with several artists. Is it possible to to choose whether you want to drill down artist -> album -> song or album -> aritist -> song? I noticed you don't use the blue-button. That one might be the switch.

Then it might also be possible to use phone-style entries to fast-jump through the list of albums ;-)

More suggestions:
* when queing an album, don't sort alphabetically but use the tracknumbers
* when drilling down: keep the artist & album highlighted
* album art; display folder.jpg in the directory where the current song is located

I'm starting to like your plugin more and more ;-)

I'll have a look. I know a did a few different thing for the artists compared to the albums and titles....so I'll see how difficult it is.

You're right, it would make things easier. :-)

More suggestions:

This one might be hard because of the query performed.

Quote:* when drilling down: keep the artist & album highlighted
i like this one. and should be pretty easy.

Quote:* album art; display folder.jpg in the directory where the current song is located
Have had a couple of requests for this.

Quote:I'm starting to like your plugin more and more ;-)

Thanks.

I'm just finishing off an update to my other plugin so then I'll get back on to this one...but I got a lot of suggestions to look at.

Cheers

Hi,

Nice plug-in, which will be my main use for gbpvr.
I'm having trouble creating playlists. Specifically, when I use Ctrl+Y to save a playlist, it calls up the on-screen keyboard.

I haven't got a remote yet, and using a physical keyboard I find that although I can type a name in, I can't use the "Home" key (equivalent to "menu" on a remote) to get rid of the on-screen keyboard. Pressing Home does nothing. The result is that I'm stuck with that keyboard screen until I press "Escape", which exits Music Library 2 without saving the new playlist.

Regards,
Malgernon

Hmm, it's designed for the remote. But you should be able to arrow around the keyboard until the "enter" key, and then press the enter key on your keyboard which should act like the ok button.

I've just tried all the music plugins and this is the one! Big Grin Great work.

Two hopeful requests:

- Could it be configured to point at a folder of m3u playlists and have these playlists appear in the list of playlists (i.e. along with the saved playlists)?

- I would love to see album art pulled from the tag and displayed.

Thanks again.

Thanks for the comments.

I'm working though some of the other suggestions users have put forward, and I'll add yours to the list. I've had requests for album art a couple of times, bot tag based and file system.

MusicPlayer2 - or MusicLibrary2??

Is it just when starting then it crashes? Looks like there is something there that is using the same key. I think I set the file name (i.e. with full path) as the key, so for some reason it's trying to load the same file twice.

Do you have MS access there?? If not, do you want to zip up your musiclibrary2.mdb (in the GBPVR directory) and send it to david dot cole at paradise dot net dot nz

Oops, sorry about the player/library thing!
I have checked the db and it is populated with over 6000 songs and I can't see any obvious problem. The error appears as soon as I press to select Music Library2 from the MVP menu. Is there anything specific I should check for in the db? I had loaded it using UNC naming maybe I should map a drive, emptythe db and reload?
Thanks for your help.
