I've finally figured out that it's not a good idea to have my recordings made with gbpvr and other videos in the same root directory. It gets weird and counterintuitive in the GUI when they all show up in "video library" :-)

So I went ahead and moved them (gbpvr recordings' location) to another directory. Then I changed this accordingly in the setup. Lo and behold, the recordings disappear from the "recordings" plugin! :-( So, I thought, it must be that they still have their old location in the database. So I moved it all back again, redid the settings, but they are still gone from the "recordings" plugin. Could I somehow get them back in there? :-)

Obviously, I can still watch them, because the files are still there, it's just a bit annoying =) And when I have watched them and deleted them the problem will be gone, because new recordings seem to show up in the plugin, at least =)
I'm not always right

GB-PVR deleted it's database record that pointed to the recordings because it thought you'd deleted the video files. No way to get them back now.

Well, actually, I've heard about import scripts, so perhaps you could get them back if you *really* wanted to.

If anyone reading this have one of those scripts, please mail it to me, thanx

Whilst its techcially possible to import them, its pretty unlikely you'd be able to do this unless you exported them before hand. Without having exported them, all relationship to the channel number, show, specific episode, time etc are all lost. The filename does not contain enough information to reconstruct these links.

Stuffing around in the database will also lead to problems in the long run. I really wouldn't recommend it. I've changed the way the recordings tables are used in the next release, and I'm sure this will break a few things.
