good work, upgrading to the newer version of mediamvp now allows it to connect to gbpvr. I've got a question though if you can spare the time to look at it. Starting the mediamvp without the hauppauge software running does not work - I guess it's trying to download the dongle.bin. Is there a way round this or is it planned?
Doh - spoke too soon having the mvpmediasvr running messes with the osd (you can't see the menus etc.) OK back to the original question then. Without the mvpmediasvc running the media MVP will not load after a restart. Does anyone else get this and if so is there anyway of automating this scenario?
GB-PVR needs the original Hauppauge software to be running when the MVP power is plugged in and booted for the first time. At this time the Hauppauge software is responsible for providing the MVP is software to run(dongle.bin).
After this I stop the Hauppauge software using the Start -> Programs -> Hauppauge MediaMVP -> Stop icon. This is stopping both Hauppauge services. Neither are need again until the power is removed from the MVP. Pressing the power button on the MVP remote does not power off the device. It is still running, but in a standby state.
Its been about a week since I stopped my Hauppauge MVP software.
