Hey, these last couple of weeks I have been missing the OSD when I play some recordings. The recordings that are missing the OSD also stutters sometimes, the recordings that work with the OSD plays smoothly. There doesn't seem to be any consistance in which recordings works with the OSD and which doesn't, like, recordings at some quality settings or something. But it's consistant in the way that if a recording doesn't work with the OSD the first time I play it, then it never will (and, if a recording works with the OSD, then it workes at all other times). Restarting GBpvr or the computer doesn't seem to make a difference...

These are my playback settings:

Video Decoder: InterVideo Video Decoder
Audio Decoder: InterVideo NonCss Audio Decoder
Audio Renderer: VIA AC'97 Audio(WAVE)

I use WMR9, I haven't got ffdshow installed and I haven't checked the "Minimal OSD During Playback" box Wink

I have a log where I play two diffirent files, with the first file the OSD fails, with the second file the OSD works fine:
Code:
03:27:22.089 INFO DirectShowPlayerBase::playVideoFile(E:\Pvr\Vejen til Le Mans\Vejen til Le Mans_20051122_23300000.mpg) 03:27:22.109 VERBOSE Creating new graph 03:27:22.199 VERBOSE getSetting(PreferredAudioRenderer) 03:27:22.740 VERBOSE audio renderer filter: VIA AC'97 Audio (WAVE) 03:27:23.111 VERBOSE getSetting(PreferredAudioDecoder) 03:27:23.401 VERBOSE audio decoder filter: InterVideo NonCSS Audio Decoder for Hauppauge 03:27:23.401 VERBOSE getSetting(PreferredDecoder) 03:27:23.531 VERBOSE video decoder filter: InterVideo Video Decoder 03:27:25.354 VERBOSE getSetting(ListGraphFilters) 03:27:25.354 VERBOSE Graph contains the following filters: 03:27:25.354 VERBOSE - Video Renderer 0004 03:27:25.354 VERBOSE - InterVideo NonCSS Audio Decoder for Hauppauge 03:27:25.354 VERBOSE - Video Renderer 03:27:25.354 VERBOSE - VIA AC'97 Audio (WAVE) 03:27:25.354 VERBOSE - MPEG Audio Decoder 03:27:25.354 VERBOSE - Overlay Mixer2 03:27:25.354 VERBOSE - InterVideo Video Decoder 03:27:25.354 VERBOSE - MainConcept MPEG Splitter 03:27:25.354 VERBOSE - E:\Pvr\Vejen til Le Mans\Vejen til Le Mans_20051122_23300000.mpg 03:27:25.354 VERBOSE getSetting(SaveGraphFiles) 03:27:25.805 INFO DirectShowPlayerBase::playFile() done 03:27:25.815 VERBOSE DirectShowPlayerBase::setPlaybackRate(1.000000) 03:27:25.815 VERBOSE Restoring audio 03:27:52.984 INFO DirectShowPlayerBase::playVideoFile(E:\Pvr\Vejen til Le Mans\Vejen til Le Mans_20051124_23300000.mpg) 03:27:52.994 VERBOSE Creating new graph 03:27:52.994 VERBOSE getSetting(PreferredAudioRenderer) 03:27:53.164 VERBOSE audio renderer filter: VIA AC'97 Audio (WAVE) 03:27:53.404 VERBOSE getSetting(PreferredAudioDecoder) 03:27:53.524 VERBOSE audio decoder filter: InterVideo NonCSS Audio Decoder for Hauppauge 03:27:53.524 VERBOSE getSetting(PreferredDecoder) 03:27:53.595 VERBOSE video decoder filter: InterVideo Video Decoder 03:27:53.835 VERBOSE getSetting(ListGraphFilters) 03:27:53.835 VERBOSE Graph contains the following filters: 03:27:53.835 VERBOSE - Video Renderer 03:27:53.835 VERBOSE - VIA AC'97 Audio (WAVE) 03:27:53.835 VERBOSE - InterVideo Video Decoder 03:27:53.835 VERBOSE - InterVideo NonCSS Audio Decoder for Hauppauge 03:27:53.845 VERBOSE - MPEG-2 Demultiplexer 03:27:53.845 VERBOSE - E:\Pvr\Vejen til Le Mans\Vejen til Le Mans_20051124_23300000.mpg 03:27:53.845 VERBOSE getSetting(SaveGraphFiles) 03:27:53.865 INFO DirectShowPlayerBase::playFile() done 03:27:53.865 VERBOSE DirectShowPlayerBase::setPlaybackRate(1.000000) 03:27:53.865 VERBOSE Restoring audio

The diffirence seems to be the graphs GBpvr chooses for the files, in the one where the OSD fails it has:

[SIZE="1"]Graph contains the following filters:
Video Renderer 0004
InterVideo NonCSS Audio Decoder for Hauppauge
Video Renderer
VIA AC'97 Audio (WAVE)
[COLOR="Red"]MPEG Audio Decoder
Overlay Mixer2[/COLOR]
InterVideo Video Decoder
MainConcept MPEG Splitter
E:\Pvr\Vejen til Le Mans\Vejen til Le Mans_20051122_23300000.mpg[/SIZE]

In the one that works it has:

[SIZE="1"]Graph contains the following filters:
[COLOR="seagreen"]Video Renderer
VIA AC'97 Audio (WAVE)[/COLOR]
InterVideo Video Decoder
InterVideo NonCSS Audio Decoder for Hauppauge
MPEG-2 Demultiplexer
E:\Pvr\Vejen til Le Mans\Vejen til Le Mans_20051124_23300000.mpg[/SIZE]

I wonder if it's somehow showing the video using Overlay, but is trying to show the OSD with WMR9 when I play the first file?

It really puzzels, me 'cos I don't remember changing anything on the computer around the time when this started Smile

I'm not sure why it would be picking filters each time. I effectively say to Windows Directshow 'make a graph for this file' and it automatically picks all of filters.

You could try deregistering the 'MainConcept MPEG2 Splitter'. It may help.

Sub, you never fail to amaze me Big Grin

You were spot on. All videos play fine and with OSD again, thanks! Smile
