I'm not at the stage of trying to record yet. I'm still trying to get the video to work.

Are you saying that you can not get gbpvr to work in live preview mode.

It doesn't work in Live Preview mode. I get sound but no video. The display is black.
I don't know why yours works but mine does not. I've downloaded and installed the latest drivers for the Compro VideoMate 300. Bruce.

I think like normanr said the only difference between us is that you are using pci audio and i am using the patch cable.
I think the ability to use pci audio for analog was added to the software.

First post on the thread asks for posts of working configurations that haven't already been detailed yet:I have a ATI TV Wonder VE and I had the same problem with the empty dropdowns so thanks for that. I sort of have it working, but in Live preview, the audio is very quiet. I've turned the volume all the way up in the Windows Mixer (both in Recording and Playback). I'm hoping it's not something dumb like the volume being turned down because I can't find a volume control in gbpvr. :\ I also can't use the time shifting or record. http://img207.imageshack.us/img207/7613/...0869fx.jpg Thanks. Edit: I hadn't realized, but the codec was installed with the ATI Mulimedia Software, which I had not installed. :\ Now, however, the program crashes whenever I click pause.

Yup, you should be able to use GraphEdit's 'Connect to Remote Graph' feature to view the graph while it's in use. (You may have to start the recording service as your own user, or directly on the command line with 'gbpvrrecordingservice.exe run') ortzinator: There is a volume in GB-PVR (left/right arrows), but I'm not sure if it works in Preview Mode. Have tyou tried turning both the Line In and Master volumes up? (in Playback Mode). Recording Mode volume will only be used for Recording and Timeshifting mode. Can you send the log files from the crash. I'm not 100% sure how well the ATI encoders work. irony.delerium's post was the first time I'd heard of them being used - but they seemed to work for him. |
