1) I definatly want to do this however I was not sure exactly how people would want it. Do you want it to delete them based on a number of days paramater in the config file? Or do you have some other idea in mind. Maybe just delete on a fixed number of days?

I know this isn't exactly integrated with the Theater plugin, but of course that is what a lot of people are using it for. I would be nice to have an option to remove it when the movie no longer appeared in the Theater plugin directory. Of course, that would only make sense if the Theater plugin did a periodic refresh, which now that I think about it, I don't think it does.

Maybe after a certain number of days AND it no longer appears in the Theater plugin directory. That way it'll download it and keep it for a while, giving the user the chance to refresh their movie listing at some point, and if there's still showing in the theaters after the time limit, it'll stay until it disappears from the theater listing.

But what do you do about movies that are not in the theaters yet...

You'd download and keep them if the logic is to only delete after a certain number of days AND it's not in the plugin directory.

If you're in a small town where movies arrive more slowly, the number of days would just have to be high, which is what you'd have to do if the number of days parameter is added anyway.

Just an idea. Obviously a better solution would be to have the Theater plugin and GetTrailers more integrated but with two different developers doing this for free, I'll take whatever I can get and be happy for it.

Well that does sound like an idea. I will have to look into this this week and see what I can do. I would love to have The Theater plugin and GetTrailers more integrated. In fact if within the Theater plugin when you update if it could run the gettrailers.exe with an extra command line option I could pick it up then only get the trailers during that run for movies that are listed in the theater plugin. Of course that all is highly dependent on someone else working on the Theater plugin and I know how it is when you do things for free. So for now I will just see what I can do about the above suggestions this week.

I was just looking at the theater plugin and mine doesn't even do anything when I click refresh. Does anybody elses work?

No, I guess mine doesn't either. I've only had the plugin installed for a couple days. I didn't add the -day option to the GetListings file and the documentation is sparse, but perhaps it defaults to a particular day of the week and doesn't do anything otherwise. Perhaps it does refresh itself periodically. If not, I suppose one could add the GetListing.bat to UpdateEPG.bat, just like I've added Get_Trailers.

I don't know... I'm new at this Theater plugin thing. I like it though. =)

For some reason, I cannot run Gettrailers from postupdateepg.bat. I just have it as a scheduled task. It's downloading stuff--but the trailer_history.txt doesn't get updated. It's still empty.

As a side not I did figure out why the theatre plugin was not updateing. You have to rename the batch file from 1getlistings.bat to getlistings.bat
Then it will refresh from the menu inside gbpvr
