So are you using V-Plug to get the keys and do the dcrypting? Does DBPVR support Vplug?

No, GB-PVR does not support v-plug or encrypted channels. You can only watch free to air stations.

hey sub, you were jsut helping me over with my "usb-uirt with viewsat" thread, i'm all over the place, but i was thinking it might be easier to use a DVB-s card in my pc instead of pvr150 because as you must be aware the viewsat basically emulates a disnet nd bev receiver into one. So in your above statement does that mean i will not get disnet or veb channels?

I dont know anything about disnet or veb channels, even which countries they're transmitted in, but if they're transmitted as free to air DVB-S channels, then yes, you should be able to watch/record them with GB-PVR.

Hi sub

Can you please tell me what Twinhan DVBS card you are using?
I´m in Germany and on Ebay they sell different kinds of Twinhans.
I´d already tryed a Cinergy1200S witch i could´nt get to work
(maybe because i´m absolute new in this stuff)
At the moment i´m running a PVR150 but i´m ...d up with this haupauge driver problems - latest drivers give me the best picture but no sound.
So i went back to 2.0.35.23258
But now i want to change to DVBS
I also have problems with Playback of recorded files.
I´m running a LG 42R4V plasma and the results of playing back over hdmi where bad (looks like lost frames) Playing back over VGA was a little better.
Best results i only have with a sigma design Xcard.
Mostly i record scifi series like voyager - okay i know - it was filmed in film mode NTSC and converted in Pal it will look not so nice.
My tests over HDMI or VGA where with Nvidia Pure video enabled- that gives me abt 35 percent cpu load - not that much - so i dont understand why the playback is stocking (lost frames?)
Any suggestions?

Sorry for my bad english - finished shool 30 years ago - so my gramma is a little bad :-)

I'm using a VP-1030A, but I think they're replacing this model soon.

Thanks for fast answering.

Seems to be a bad situation.
Every card listet in the BDA Device list is sold under so many revisions and/or
card types.
As i wrote - i´d already had problems with the cinergy1200S which is a clone of knc one tv station.
I´ll give a haupauge nova-s a chance (i found 5 different models on Ebay:confused: ) i´ll try the se2 model (damned again hauppauge drivers:eek: )
I think i´ve to reinstall the os anyway because my system is only going into hibernate mode, if i set the time to hibernete in energie options to 1 minute.
I don´t know why - but after installing and deinstalling that lot of drivers
(tryed a few grafikcards and dvbs cards) maybe the os is a little confused.

I believe you use the EPG Update in config once you have selected your card ang EPG source (haven't tried yet as my DVB box has no BDA Driver yet.
