I´d like to switch to dvr-ms .. but any file recorded with that option causes my system to crash!
Is there any documentation out how gbpvr handles ds graphes?
My next problem is to watch live tv- when i switch to live tv and do a channel change system crashes! When i look to the lastgraph.grf audio is set to my sigma design x-card and video is set to BDA MPEG2 Transport Information Filter-
I´ll do another explainig in historical look:
Source 1 is Cinergy 1200 DVB-S Tuner
Mpeg2TS output goes into Cinergy 1200 DVB-S Capture
Mpeg2TS output goes into MPEG-2 Dmultiplexer (dont know what Demux)
Pin1 goes intoBDA MPEG2 Transport Information Filter
Audio goes into Audio in of Sigma designs hardware decoder
BUT I DONT KNOW WHY !!!!!
Config.exe output is set to use Software.
I´ll bang my head to the next wall...... I´m now configurating for more than 2 weeks - okay system was running nearly fine with my cable receiver card Hauppauge PVR150.
Okay enough of crying now - btw. i love this peace of software !
And i love to find out whats going on with that thingi :-) .
Thanks in advance ....

DVR-MS wornt work with you XCard, which is probably the reason it is crashing for you. Try the Cyberlink one.

Its probably the xcard drivers causing this. Try fully disabling the sigma filters in the filter manager thing they provide.

The xcard is no longer actively supported by GB-PVR.

Hi sub an TNX

The problem is, that it did work in the beginning.
I rebuildet the system with a fresh os installation - all neccesary drivers including the x card drivers
Also after changing the DVB-S card i´d a working Live TV.
But suddenly (i think i´d manually editet the channellist - better i´ve changed the channelnumbers to get my channels in prefered order) next time Live TV crashes my system. And of corse, i don´t want to use the xcard for Live TV.
But for me it would be nice if i could configure that internet radio / Music and Live TV or any other thing i´d like to is played via ac97 codec/vga card and MPEG (DVD/Divx) played via Xcard.
The xcard is the only device that gives an acceptable signal to the tv set .
Okay -if video is played back flewless over vga i could think about throwing off that card- but untill now the best quality is the xcard (MVP was terrible - green and too dark - so it returned to my hw dealer- thanks god that i can try out nearly everything ;-) )
But back to the topic-
I don´t know why that all happens !
Why gbpvr is using this graph?

GB-PVR isnt trying to use the xcard filters. Rather, the xcard directshow filters are very aggressive at making sure they are used and use tricks to make sure Directshow will use them. If you disable them in the sigma filter manager app, then it wont use them.

There are loads of people that would disagree with that. Either way, it doesnt change the fact that the xcard is no longer supported by GB-PVR. Its just not worth the hassle supporting this device for the 4 or 5 people here that own one.

Okay the fact that the x card is no longer supported was clear for me.
i´d just pulled it out of the system to do some more testings.
You wrote "If you disable them in the sigma filter manager app, then it wont use them" - hm ........ i don´t have any app installed.
I´ll do some more tests. Next week i´m going to spend a few days in a center parc for hollyday. I´ll be back on Saturday for more tests.
Thank you for your informations

Okay - Here are my final results :-)

After pulling out the Xcard live tv was fine.
I put it back again in the machine and everything is still fine ........
Hmmmmm
Sub - thank you very much for trying to help so fast!
I know you stoped supporting xcard.
So i´ll try to explain what my intension is to use th xcard.
I´m using different hardware directly connected to the tv set and i also have
2 video switches with integrated hf modulators. So the different equipments are connected via scart to the tv,via S-Video to the first switch and via fbas to the second switch. So its possible to watch every equipment over hf in the whole house. Media MVP is fine but not practicable fo me (my workroom is directly next to the living room - so if my girlfriend wants to watch a recorded program and i want to watch the same we can do it now easily) With the htpc and gbpvr we have a little problem because vga out of the pc is only watchable on the tv in the livingroom because it is connected there.
Is there any chnace to use the mvp as vga extender (all media output from gbpvr goes transverted to the mvp without any need to do anything on the mvp? i only need to see recorded videos or divx- )
Now with the x card it is no problem
I think i´m the only one with this conflict :-)
But anyway thanks a lot for your work on gbpvr.
For me the best mediacenter software at all !!!!
