I have two PVR-150s; #1 is intended for recordings and is tuning standard CATV. #2 is hooked up to my STB.

Problem is that when #1 is recording, GB gives me a warning message that no available turner is available and my choices are exit or watch the program being recorded. So why isn't it recognizing the second tuner?

As I understand this quote from sub in an earlier post, my config should work:

"It generally starts at the top of the list of capture sources and works its way down until it finds a free device that can record the specified channel. Live tv starts at the bottom of the list and works its way up, to minimize conflicts. The rules can change a bit with back to back recordings since it tries to get padding on both devices. It can also move a recording to another capture source if its inuse with TV when its scheduled to record."

Any ideas would help. I'm fairly new to GB and am still working the kinks out.

My guess is you either didnt set the device numbers correctly, or you didnt set the EPG correct on one of the sources.

Sub,
The cards are set as Card #1 & #2. The EPGs are different. The first covers all of the first 125 channels and the second only the COMCAST digital channels (on demand (channel 1) and those beyond 125).

Does GB cache the last channel viewed and during the next Live TV request it receives looks for that cached channel in the "available" card's EPG? If that is the case, then I can see why it would balk since the seconds card's EPG consists of a different channel lineup.

Yeah, that'd be the cause. You can select to 'watch' a different channel from the tv guide.

Thanks sub. You've got yourself a great piece of software here. I know that many others have helped make it what it is today, but I give credit where credit is due.
