Sometimes my VA Panel shows information, sometimes it doesn't for no apparent reason, no config change.

Also, I like the Videos plugin but although it says that recordings are sorted New to old or old to new but in fact the sort is A-Z or Z-A.

Anyone else seeing this?

David.

The series titles are sorted a-z, the episodes are sorted new to old, I think.

So sorting new recordings to old recordings doesn't do that? Smile

There are two lists on the screen (right?). Series title on the left, actual episode recordings on the right. The one one the left is sorted a-z (always, I think), the one on the right can be sorted old-new or new-old.

Think about it, you want to find a series, say BattleStar Galactica, it's easiest if that is a-z. Once you've got BG up there with say 10 episode recordings, you want to see the recordings by date.

No?

With respect to your first message about things not showing up in the VA panel, what sort of things? Some things, like upcoming recordings only show up if they are coming uo within a time window that can be set via the config application. As I recall the default is to only show things coming up in the next 8 hours.

Jeff, it's possible that you're right there. I did think I had a load of recordings scheduled but it is possible that they were outside the default 8 hour period. I'll make a note to check so for now consider it operator error Smile

If the sort newest to oldest is only for episodes, is there no way to just view my newest recordings to oldest?

Also, what's the criteria used to display the "New" star logo on a recording because there's a few that I copied on from DVD-R's that I had recorded on a different PC and they are being marked as New. Are they "unwatched", is that how it's seeing them?

Thanks
David.

Yes understood in that context, if you live within the world of recording series all the time. As you can see with my response to Jeff, I thought there might just be a way of sorting all of my recordings, new to old.

e.g. This week I might have a new episode of 3 or 4 series plus a couple of films and some misc programmes. I just want to watch what I haven't already seen so show me new to old.

Different ways of interpreting it I guess.

Gottcha. Just thought you hadn't noticed, sometimes I just can't see the obvious.

If the file that you copy are in the gbpvr name format with e date of recording embedded i nthe file name then it will use that date to determine if they are new. If not, if will use the file date, which would be the day you copied the file and thus new.

As to filtering out what you have watched, pressing control F (fast forward) toggles a filter of viewed files on/off.
