New Plugin: DboxRecorder Plugin

Hi and welcome nollafb,

For some reason this doesn't seem to be working for me, when i go into live TV mode it just says "Starting timeshift Mode TV Please Wait" and stays like that (sometimes it kicks me straight back out to the main menu). I'm using a Dbox2 C with the sportster 1.75 and followed Feathers guide word for word.

Any Ideas?

Attached is my GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log as this can give you much more info than i can.

EDIT: i just had to split the file in 2 as it exceeded maximum upload limit

It seems that the plugin isn't able to receive valid packet identifiers from the channel you try to watch. They are required to start streaming.

Questions:
- Does your dbox change the channel?
- Have you got the same problems with other channels, too?
- Is "Use live preview mode when possible" in the config app not checked?
- Have you mapped the channel to a gbpvr source channel in the dbox recorder configuration form?
- Is a firewall running?

Please attach the file "DboxRecorder_X.config" (located in the plugins subdirectory of gbpvr) to your reply.

The dbox does change channel.and i have set it up for 5 channels that all do the exact same thing, use live preview mode is NOT checked and there is no firewall running. and i have mapped all the channels
attached are the file you asked for and some screenshots of my config so you can see exactly how it is setup

thanks for all the help, i think this could be extremly good if i could only get it up and running.

oh and i removed a load of channels from the DboxRecorder_X.config file i uploaded to keep the size down as they were just the same as the ones left in but without a channel number

Are you German and if yes we might continue this conversation via PM in German if you like.
The Idea with VLC Plugin is that it does not need Wingrab to start/receive a stream but again I am not a developer and could talk absolute rubbish

The Image that has been mentioned by nollafb uses modded sectionsd and zapit for UK cable so this could be the Issue.

My hint for him is to try a DietmarW Image or a Yadi Image to try with his services.xml and the freeview channels.

Great work, currently running this plugin with my UK Dbox and all is good, Live Tv and recordings, pulling Tv listings, problem is when I add an additional Dbox as a source then I get a no tuner can be found message when I try and watch Live TV, any help would be greatly appreciated

please post your GBPVRRecordingService logfile.
Did you setup two different epg-sources for your dboxes?
Does the second dbox not work generally or only if the other one is already in use?

@ Orinoco or any other UK users having success with this plugin - could you let me know what image you're using? I'd really like to get this working for all my channels - still failing on a fair few of them .e.g channel five.

I now have both of my boxes working (altho a couple of anomalies exist) tried to record a program today and watch another program worked like an absolute dream, also recorded 2 channels at once 1 from each box, I am running Keywelt Squashfs 20.11.2005 20:12,


Anomalies so far, when i have 2 Dboxes as source I get the Object error caused by My Pictures plugin removing this solves the problem but this is not apparent when running a single Dbox.

If I access the dbox direct and go to channel selection my channels have disappeared, that is the big list does not appear, i have tried 4 other images to see if this is an image specific problem, but it happens with all images I have tried, if i can be of any help with any other info let me know.

by the way Have scheduled multiple recordings tonight will let you know how it goes, all my bit should be here tmw, for me to build a standalone unit, all made possible by GBPVR and this dbox plugin. Many thanks

If you would post your log (Recording service and GBPVR) I could tell you if the error is related to the dbox plugin or the my pictures plugin.

Does this happen during a recording? Because if the dbox is recording something ("recording mode"), it is normal that you can't see all of your channels in the list, because you should not zap to another channel during the recording.

Are you pulling in full EPG I still need to get mine completely boxed off currently I am only running with a testbed of 30 channels or so on each box, did do some stuff on XMLTV but wasnt entirely happy with the results, let me know how you are pulling your epg, if you have it working in entirety and waht method you are using to pull it
