It not effecting me either, and I watch only in TS.

I'm just trying to help out by isolating what specific to watching in TS that is different from going to a recording in progress and viewing it. If there's anything different about it (other than you're not wacthing almost on top of the live tip of the file), then that would be what to look at.

Again, it also may not be something GB is doing, but something Windows treats or is reacting to differently. My guess is everyone has something fairly normal installed (a window default or add on, more than a 3rd party thing), or enabled, that most people turn off normally.

I'm experiencing the same thing, which i never had.
I did make a change i swapped my radeon 9600 for a nvidia 6200 and now i'm noticing it.
I'm using the purevideo codec, both with the ati and nvidia.
But i'm not using timeshift i use livepreview !

True off hardware acceleration and switch automatic to film, or try a different decoder (something generic like intervideo if possible).

Just a guess, but I think it's video card related. I've talked to a few people at work that do not have this issue and the only thing in common is that they are using nvidia 5000 series cards. I have tried gbpvr with a Geforce 2 TI, 9800 pro and an 9250 all in three different pc's and the all have the 30 second lag. I'm going to pickup a Geforce 5200 this weekend to test in all 3 pcs to see what happens. It would be great if we could have people who are not having this issue to post what video cards they are using to see if there is a common factor.

I've got two machines, one with a Radeon X800. The other with a Radeon 9200. Neither has this problem.
