My other problem is that the 720x480 resolution is larger than my display screen, which is a SDTV. Any suggestions?

Both ATI and Nvidia graphics cards have a TV out adjustment somewhere in the display properties tabs. You can use this to adjust the overscan or underscan amount of your display. It sounds like your graphics card imay be overscanning too much.

As far as display resolutions for a SDTV use 720x480 for NTSC or 720x576 for PAL. I have a Nvidia 6600 card and I set it for 720x576 @ 50Hz -I for 576i in the advanced timing section. I could never find this type of option on an ATI card though.

I am using the Riva TNT2 video card, but it doesn't give me the option to resize the window. Oh well.

My work around is to run GBPVR in window mode and just resize the window so that only the video picture shows on the screen. I'm happy and so is my wife, so I'm just going to stick with that.

Is there a way to have GBPVR remember section specific aspect ratios? For example, my tv is 4:3 but I want my DVDs to be output as widescreen. The problem is, when i go from DVD mode to TV recordings, I have to change the aspect ratio back. Not a problem for me (although I'd rather not have to) but my girlfriend uses the pvr too...I think you all see the problem
