The wiki version is not the latest. The latest version is buried in one of these threads. I will try to update the wiki version today. I will post a notice when I do.
I can't get this plugin to work. I originally downloaded the version from the wiki and have just downloaded the version from this thread - they appear to be identical filesizes, so I'm guessing the wiki has been updating.
I'm still getting the same error message in the log that others mentioned previously -
Code:
21/01/2006 00:56:01.530 ERROR [159] Weather plugin error downloading weather for 90210
21/01/2006 00:56:01.530 ERROR [159] URL was [url]http://weather.msn.com/search.aspx?weasearchstr=90210[/url]

at GBPVR.Plugins.WeatherPlugin.WeatherInformation.ParseWeatherForecast()
21/01/2006 00:56:01.540 VERBOSE [159] Weather plugin done with download for 90210
(I'd tried using the codes I'm assuming I'm meant to use - e.g., UKXX0061, but when it kept saying 'downloading' I thought I should try changing to a US Zip code (90210 being the only one I know off the top of my head ) - still doesn't work and the error message appears similar to the one listed by users before.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Alan
PS The browse to add new locations works fine downloading cities, etc. from the MSN weather site.
I just updated VA tonight and have the same problem. Updated the weather plugin with the file in the tread and still hangs. At first I thought this was a recent thread I was surpirsed to when it started. Prior to to tonights update weather had been working.

Hi Forum,
I likewise am having the same issues with the weather plugin. Here is the error screen I get." Error opening file for writing:C:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\CommonGBPVRUtilities.dll, the funny thing is I see it in the gbpvr directory. I recently switched to the slimm gbpvr does that make a difference? Any help would be appreciated!
I'm running SlimmGBPVR too but don't have any error messages re CommonGBPVRUtilities.dll, just the URL problem. Is the file read-only? (although I can't see why/how it'd be writing to a dll).
