My Pictures Menu Animation

Hi,
I'm using the latest version of GB-PVR and the latest version of the My Pictures plugin from the wiki on an Asus Pundit-R. I'm also using the "Collection" with the Appearance Manager.

In the GB-PVR main menu, the task images are animated, but this is just a tick slow on my system -- so I switched it off in the config.xml.

Now to my question.
The menu buttons in the My Pictures plugin fly in from the left and the folder contents fly in from the top when I enter My Pictures.

Is there any way to switch this off?

It would be a nice effect -- but on my system its not smooth and as I'm trying to increase the WAF by standardising all the menus (backgrounds, buttons, no animations) it would be great if it could be switched off.

You're right of course.
Think I should start wearing my glasses again!

But how do you get it to save the settings?

Yes, there is a "save" button in the settings (and I did use it), however, after restarting GB-PVR, the animations are back.

The other questions are:
How and where do I change the buttons (background, text colour)?
How and where do I change the colour of the names of the folders/files?

I've looked at the skin.xml in the My Pictures folder, but haven't found anything helpful.
Any takers?

For the animation, I think you can set <ShowAnimations>false</ShowAnimations> in the My Pictures part of the main gbpvr config.xml file.

As far as the skinning goes, I have skinned it in the past, so it is obviously possible - I think you may have to edit the files in the My Series skin folder, as I think reven was looking at getting some common skin elements working in the My Pictures plugin.

Unfortunately, the <ShowAnimations> tag is already set to false in my config.xml. As the plugin can control the animation itself, there must be another setting somewhere or some way of getting it to save the "animations off" permanently.

The tip with "my series" was exactly what I needed -- I changed my buttons, etc. there and they are used by "My Pictures".
