I'm aware that in a multiple card setup each sheduled recording will be allocated to a new tuner if available. For the most part i'm quite happy with this but It becomes quite restricive when GBPVR has to use two tuners for consecutive recordings on the same channel. I was just wondering if there was any way to force/persuade GBPVR to use the same tuner for back to back recordings on the same channel.

Would removing the padding have any effect? or how about an option to manually assign a tuner within the recording popup?

It's not really a major problem - and it makes a great excuse for buying that 5th tuner Big Grin

The way which I have addressed this is to go into the gbpvr database and manually set the software to use the same tuner. I ran into this recently with 2 consecutive shows on two concurrent channels. It said there was a conflict because the first 2 were on alternate tuners and then it could only record one of the others because there was only one free tuner at that time and thus I got a conflict.

I have manually set one channel to use one tuner for both shows and the same on the other.

The other kludge that you could do is to do a manual recording and just record the length of both shows although then you'll have to manually split the file if it's important and it won't work too well for season recordings.

Sub reports that a future version will have better logic. Hope it's soon Smile

That's how I first noticed it too. I must admit that I never thought of looking in the database. I'll give that a try. It should certainly act as a workaround until we get better logic.

Thanks for the tip
