Any plans for including Mame support in GB-PVR?

The funny thing is, it use to have mame support in the first few releases. I removed this because it only worked on the PC monitor, and wasn't ever going to work with the MVP, XCard or PVR350. I prefer the core functionality to be consistant across the various clients.

I didn't know that you had to use a monitor--Is that true? You can't play a mame rom at TV resolutions?

Its not as simple as that. The XCard/MVP/PVR350 were designed for playing video. I have managed to force the GB-PVR user interface onto them, but it wouldn't work for games. These devices can only display a couple of frames a second, and the mame software would need to be changed to be capable of interacting with this special hardware.

My next step is to add a video card to my PC that has a S-Video out. Shouldn't this be able to work with GB and Mame for that matter?

Forgive my ignorance. Thanks for the help!

Yes that would work, it just wouldn't work with the TV out on on the PVR350/Xcard/MVP

I would love to see this so I can play classic games in my living room. I have S-video out, but I'm going to upgrade my video card with one that has DVI output because I can get a DVI-HDMI cable so I get a true digital picture on my HDTV. I know mythtv has this option, but I don't feel like running linux.
