I Am getting this error only when the PC comes out of standby, (have'nt tryed it in hibernate) I did a while back, turn off a few things in the 'services.msc'. could that be my problem? I am running the MCE remote/blaster combo, (USB). Another issue I am having is- The EPG wont wake the PC for the scheduled time. Is this process monitored by the recording scheduler, or do I have to have GBPVR open before it powers down to standby? (either way, it wont update).

I saw a DVD recorder (plays divx/svcd/vcd/mp3/ect....) at Superstore the other day for 89 bucks. That still wont staop me form getting this up and running..:p too much fun!!!

mce remote - no idea as i don't have one. Perhaps take a look at the devcon command (search forum) that u can use to reinitialise devices.

epg: the recordingservice handles this,so no you don't need gbpvr running. there was a utility mentioned on the forums a while ago that you can use to test out your power/stanby/hibernate settings in windows.

I solved That problem.. I returned to the supplyed XP drivers for the eHome remote/Blaster.. But Now I have a HIP issue, I loose the Blaster after I come back out of standby??? So witch means, I need to make sure my sat. box is on the right channel before I schedule a record. One thing I cant seem to find out via a search- Is there anyway to disable the OSD in live TV? I have the GBPVR overtop of my sat. Feed. Or, is this an EPG thing that cannot be changed? Seems a shame, EPG (zap2it)has Way more info of the program, than my sat. provider gives me, I'm just looking to clean up the screen a bit.

I have figgered out that, if I stop HIP, and then restart it after comming out of standby.. I get the blaster back. So How can I input a command into 'wake.cmd' to have Hip stopped and then restarted? I'm no programmer and the scripts/commands seem to make little sense to me. If some one could help me out on what/how I should write a script to do what I want, I should then have everything set... :o sure... if its not one thing its another! Still fun though! Thanks!

Either you can set "use minimal OSD" in the config app and see if that helps, or you can try mucking about with the "transparency" setting in the skin you use, and set it so that it is not transparent at all. That way you won't see the OSD from you set top box.

By the way, if you use "overlay" as opposed to VMR7/9, nothing will be transparent at all.
