Can I stream the GB-PVR UI?

Hello there,

I have my PC set up in another room to my TV. I have an STB that accepts UDP streams and can play them on the TV. I can send UDP streams from GB-PVR on my TV (such as videos, live TV, etc). But can I send the GB-PVR *UI* as a stream to my STB? Is this an existing feature that I have just missed?

The idea is to have the PC completely separate, stream the UI (and everything really) to the TV and have a remote control extender to send commands back to the PC. Is this possible?

No, this is not possible.

To be frank, this is why you'd use a Hauppauge MVP, that will provide the end result that you sound like you're trying to achieve.

Yep - an MVP is really the simplest way to acheive it although you lose the ability to play DVDs direct and a couple of other things.

I've also briefly played with a S-Video -> UHF modulator/sender unit to pump the TV-out of my PC over UHF which I then sent to the aerial input of my TV. The PC video then appears as a new TV channel on the TV. Not brilliant results though - I think I'd need to tweak some settings for the TV-out of the graphics card.
