auto expire recordings

It would be nice to be able to automatically delete recordings after a configurable amount of time. E.g. i want to record 6 o'clock news daily; but tomorrow it can be deleted automatically. Or to keep just the last 5 recordings of Seinfeld.

We can actually do this by writing an application that opens up the database and looks at the recordings. It will then apply the rules you specified and delete the appropriate shows.

Obviously it will not be as integrated of a solution.

The only problem is you would have to use a windows cron application to start the executable at a specified time.

I'm think about letting you specify to keep max 1/2/3/4/5/all when scheduling reoccuring recordings (manual or season). This wont be in the pending release though.

No - sorry. I havn't really had much time at all this release. I'd been working quite long hours at my day job for the first couple weeks of the release cycle.

I'd love to always be able to watch the latest SportsCenter whenever I wanted.
