normanr Wrote:JonRoyle: This is an pending feature request, obviously you can watch unconverted recordings using something like VLC, but making WMP play nicely is an unknown. If you have any information on how to alter the web interface so that WMP (and perhaps WinAmp) will play recording better, please let us know.

I believe that the webstreamer project will move on to music after the video portion is complete....just a guess.

Check out this thread.

Edit: This will let you stream to either WMP or VLC and do the encoding of the stream in various formats.

is this possible:
season (this channel, any time-slot, this day)

TV channels make it a habbit to move program, to make room sports e.g. move scheduled program 1 to 2 hours

keep up the good work

normanr Wrote:I think this depends on the API interface - the main frontend doesn't support this yet, so the web admin can't either. In fact UJB's screenshot shows 1 extra option that the main frontend doesn't, so I wonder which is "right".

With the new API you can record any way you want.....in fact....I think I will look into a custom option that will allow the user to set what they want...for instance you could say....record the season for this time slot on Monday, Wednesday and Friday only......

I'll keep you posted on the custom option....

That looks awesome! You might actually be able to move the quality selection around and gain so extra space. What about putting it below the 'keep x recordings' selction.

UncleJohnsBand and Norman, Thanks for the info. Last time I looked at the webstream project it did not support WMP.

I am investigating now though this app appears to be doing the streaming. I was looking to use existing Windows Media Services so that only change would be for Web interface to return URL eg rtsp://hostname/publishing_point/file_name (rather than M3U file) and let client open default streaming viewer - in my case WMP.

The only issue in this solution is MS limited support for different file formats

I didn't even know about the webStreamer :o

I'm sure it'll get to a point where it's 100% integrated into the existing web interface, and that it'll work perfectly with WMP.

This record screen looks great! I hope Sub gets the stuff done soon so I can use it soon!

Now the only thing missing (as far as recordings go) is a manual record. My epg doesn't cover some channels overnight scheduling, so a manual record is the only way i can record those shows.

Sorry if this is a x-post to
http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...#post95427
, but sub mentioned I should ask here.

What I would like to do is change the Quality Settings of Pending recordings in WebAdmin. Apologies if this has been asked before, I did check the WebAdmin section of the wiki and searched on "pending recording" and "quality settings" but no joy.

Apart from cancelling the scheduled show and re-scheduling it, is there currently any (simple) way of changing the quality setting (e.g. from med to high) of one (or even ALL at once, or ticked selections) of my PENDING recordings?

If not, it'd be a great feature for me, some shows I record to watch at home, then decided I would like to watch through the now functioning webstreamer, so quality doesn't need to be as good as I initially programmed, and vice versa.

djtaylor mentioned to do it through the Access Database and while I could do this once or twice, it's not really a long term solution to easily swap between settings.

Ta!

k.
