one fix sgilani is i cut the commercials during encode, that way they're not even *in* the resulting file...Smile
but only do if you're sure the commercials are right or save the original mpeg too..
to do this you need to turn on the edl-out switch in comskip and use the -edl {filename.edl} in mencoder...works great for me..also use -hr-edl-seek as it will encode better at cutpoints...
i believe what you're seeing is gbpvr 'noticing' that you've made a new avi of same name and now loading txt file as before it didn't know to look for one, to associate with this new filename..unless you need avi's i'd just make the mpegs, they're about the same quality/size cuz a lot of the encoding is done with same matrices..
[and you can burn straight to dvd too Smile]
tho i know you can make smaller slightly with xvid, it's slow...
up to you...i promise you won't see any commercials this way tho! lol

yeah, ive noticed comskip not always getting stuff right, especially on an international channel off of the Dish, and a few other times.. so i like to keep the commercials and just be able to skip them on playback..

The database gets updated with the new file (the avi), and the txt file from comskip is still there, so I'm not sure why it's not picking it up..

It seems like a bug almost in GBPVR, since it magically starts to work if I quit and then play it again and choose to resume. sub, any idea why this would happen?
