Hello,
I have a very strange effect with the EPG update in the new version 96.08.
I'm doing the update through
start gbpvr.exe -OnlyUpdateEPG
Unfortunately, this doesn't write any log file.
First, when I do a complete EPG reload with more than 7 days it fails. When I watch the process with the Windows task manager, the memory used by gbpvr.exe is going up during the download from zap2it. When it goes over 1.1 GB, it ends and doesn't update the EPG. If I go down to 6 days, it doesn't reach the 1 GB, so everything is fine.
To get the 14 days into the EPG, I configured the EPG to do an update instead of a complete reload. I did a new installation on the weekend and run the update with reload for 6 days.
Last night, the update (not reload) for the EPG ran at 1 am for 12 days. After that update I have a gap in my TV guide:
I have all shows up to 2/28 6 pm. The next show in the TV guide is 3/1 3 pm up to 3/10 6pm. What happened to these 21 hours that are missing?
The recordings that I had set up in the missing gap are still partially there.
I am watching what happens with the update tonight.

If you stop any other instances of GBPVR.exe before you do this, then gbpvr.exe.log should show what is happening.

How many channels do you have?

Do I also have to stop the MVP server instances to get a log?

Last night, the update ran again. Now I have no shows between 3/1 7 pm and 3/2 7 am. The gap is now only 12 hours.

You'll probably have to do an 'empty epg' followed by 'updated epg' to fill this gap.

I installed GBPVR on a different machine today. I set up a recording source with the same zap2it source as on my other machine. Then I did a EPG update (update) with 6 days. Afterwards, I had the complete guide for the next six days. The I changed it to 11 days and run the update again. After this update, I had a gap from 3/2 7pm to 3/3 to 3/4 2 am. This time I did this with the config program, and I got a log of the update.
I see the following in the log:
- Requesting listings for the period: 2006-03-06T00:00:00Z to 2006-03-12T00:00:00Z
This is the right period for the update
- zap2it about to refresh next two days data to pick up any schedule changes
- Processing zap2it channels using SAX parser
- Requesting listings for the period: 2006-03-01T00:00:00Z to 2006-03-03T00:00:00Z
- Removing EPG list for the next two days so they can be recreated.

I think there is something going wrong with this re-creation of the last two days.
I ran the second update at 9 p.m. EST.

I can send you the whole log if you give me an email address or a place to upload it.

Sub,
Could you please have a look on this? For any reason, my attachment disappeared, but I can send it to you if needed.
Thank you.
