First off, I love GB-PVR and myVideos. It works flawlessly with the movies I put into the program, but it can't seem to work with any of my TV shows. I have a folder of Arrested Development shows, and it correctly identified the folder as Arrested Development, complete with thumbnail. However, the folder just contains filenames of the episodes.

I've tried naming them "Arrested Development 302", or "Arrested Development - 3x02" and any combination of the number/x/- combination. Same results every time.

When I view the program info, I get ""Arrested Development 3x01" site:imdb.com - Google Search" showing up as the title. This even happens if I try to scan tv.com for the show info.

Any ideas?

I'm sorry in advance for the stupid question, but how exactly do I do that? I don't see it in the menu options at all.

For some reason, "episode lookup" was disabled in my menu options. I enabled it and sure enough, it showed up. However, it still didn't work. I'd scan the whole folder under "episode lookup", and nothing would update or change. This is with the combination of dashes, xes, and numbers as before. Any other hints, tips, tricks? I'd love to get this working.

what shows are you trying to lookup? pretty much every one i tried it has had no problems with.

try using the "Find Episode List" to find the correct show url.

and you dont need to use the "scan" menu, if it doesnt work just use the normal menu, using either the "go"/f11 key or the "menu"/home key.

Hey Reven!

I have one episode it won't update on. Arrested Development too! Smile

Ep 1-16 I think it is. Alter Ego (1)....I thought at first it was cause of the (1) but it's not cause the next episode is (2) and it labeled up fine....

Wondering if my DB is gonna get wiped when you release v5. Is it worth it to track problems with 3?

Wasson: name your files like this:

Arrested Development - 101.avi
or better yet
Arrected Development - 101 - Pilot.avi

The first name will require you browse episodes and tell it which ep to label it as. The second I believe will find it on first search. Took me a while to figure that out... Smile

the only data you lose will be
- folders, the actual folder items not there content
- any info that doesnt have a "Title", eg if you just generated a thumbnail for a video file, but it has no other info

ill put up instructions to follow to ensure thats all you lose, you could lose it all if you dont do a simple thing first.

most of my vids are like "Arrested Development - 1x01.avi" or "Arrested Development - 1x01 - Pilot.avi", its easier to use the "1x01" for the lookup since some show names on tv.com have "&" instead of "and" etc.

this isnt working as good as it can be in the current beta, it will be something i address in beta 4ish...

That worked perfectly! It's a little cumbersome to have to do that with every episode, but it works.

In the screen caps, there's little images next to the show descripting. How do I get those? Generate thumbs didn't work.
