Screensaver

Sometimes (this doesn't happen all the time) when the screen saver kicks in, I can't get out of it by moving the mouse, or pressing most of the buttons. The only way to get out of it is to call a plugin (like LIVE TV or GUIDE). A bug?

A couple of other people have also mentioned having this problem, but I've not been able to reproduce it here, so I've not found the cause problem.

I thought I was the only one. I never posted about it because I thought It was related to my setup.

Just had this problem myself on the latest install. Will try to duplicate it and see what was running when it happens.

I've had the same issue, but only since upgrading to 96.8 - Is this true for the rest of you?

No, its been possible with every release since the v0.93 which introduced the screen saver. I still havent seen a way to reproduce it.

The only thing I can add is that in my experience some times when it locks the screen saver is till working: ie the GBPVR logo is still being drawn and redrawn. When this happens pressing any of the buttons on the remote causes the logo to be instantly redrawn elsewhere on the screen.

I have a similar (possibly related possibly not) issue that I lose the video if: In timeshift mode, I pause, then minimize. When I Restore, the window is black. F1 (Guide) doesn't do anything to retrieve the image. I have however noticed that the screen is still "Clickable" meaning that if I can hit the right spot I can still interact with the OSD, however I can't see it. I can reproduce on command.

Other ways to reproduce this are: Pause, then cover the window. Pause & Resize.

I had problems with the screen saver so I just shut it off.
