I have no idea what "MPEG-46 SP" is.

Quote:Near DVD quality up to 720x480 @ 30 f/s (NTSC), 720x576 @ 25 f/s (PAL), AVI file format
Yes.

Hmm. Just had a bit of a google for the "MPEG 46" format.

Many Many hits on the Archos AV500 and Gmini 402cc. e.g.

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/...CatId=1622
http://www.mobilewhack.com/reviews/gmini_402cc.html

Digging deeper, I wonder if all those websites actually simply got it wrong and it was supposed to be a (NOTE) 6 above MPEG 4, as per this site?

http://www.pocketdish.com/500_tech_specs.jsp

That site also has a (NOTE) 7 above MPEG 4 which implies another funny "standard" i.e. "MPEG-47" Googling on that, also produces similar sites for the devices above:

http://www.impress-group.co.uk/Pages/arc...0_spec.htm, which would seem to subtstantiate my theory that some of those sites did a bit of silly cutting and pasting and got a new "format" in the process?

Doesn't matter anyway .. but I was (really really) bored :-)

k.

[EDIT] MPEG 4 SP (Simple Profile) exists though ... http://mainstream.indigovision.com/onlin...ncder.html

Okay, i have run GB-PVR and the error showed up and here are all the logs in the fold.

My tv tuners are 1) Hauppauge PVR500 w/FM Dual tuner
3) MSI Theather 550 Pro
I'm running windows xp 64bit with dual opteron 240 and 2GB ram.
The live tv isn't working right now but all tv turner will record if it runs into 3 show to record at the same time.

That log seems to encounter problems when viewing live preview mode live tv on the 550 pro. With a 550 pro, your deinterlacing needs to be set to encoder pass-through.

I have the deinterlacing set to encoder pass-through but i'm still getting the error. Why isn't it using my DUAL tuner first? I really only want to use the 550 pro just to record the 3rd show and not watch live tv with it.

Is there a setting that would use the hauppauge 500 two turners first and the 550 pro only then?

When scheduling a recording it typcially starts at the top of the capture source list and makes its way down, looking for an available tuner that has the required channel. Selecting a device for live tv does the opposite order - I'm guess your 550 is at the bottom of the capture source list.

yeah, my 550 pro is set at the bottom, I changed the setting to encoder pass through and it stil wont do the live tv on the 550 pro

I am also receiving the error "Object reference not set to an instance of an object". It occurs when I click on "Live TV". I have just installed the software on a system with a Wintv PVR-250. I have attached the gbpvr.exe.log as well.
Thanks.
