A couple EPG update questions

Is it possible to get the POSTUPDATEEPG.BAT to run minimized? If I am watching TV at the time the EPG updates, I see a DOS box popup for several seconds on top of my show (yes I know how to set the EPG update time). This seems to happen with the normal plugins as well as with the Xrecord suite plugins. The comskip stuff that runs after a recording does so invisibly.

Another question. After an EPG update, should the new information be available immediately in the guide (or Xguide)? I seem to have to exit/restart the GB-PVR front end to see the newest programming days in the guide. Is this a problem with my setup or is it normal?

I don't know how to minimize it, but you can do this for damage control:

Run the bat file manually (by double clicking it). Click in the window before it closes (it will then pause execution)

Right click top left corner (the little dos picture).

Choose properties->layout
Set window size to 1,1 and window position to 0,0. This will make the window appear as small as possible in your top left corner of the screen...

Click OK, and then choose "save properties for future windows with same title"

Half bad workaround until someone tells you how to do it correctly =)

Here is another thought. Don't know if it will work well.
Rename postupdateepg.bat to whatever.bat
Create a new postupdateepg.bat which contains only one line:

start /min whatever.bat

This should spawn "whatever.bat" minimized in its own process. The end result should be that the first postupdateepg.bat only blinks slightly on the screen. You could perhaps combine this with the method above. In order to have time to click the window, you could, just one time, enter the line

pause

in the postupdateepg.bat. When you have set the properties for the window, you can remove the pause line.
