Support for DVBCore

Hi, I would just like to start with saying WOW!!!!!!
What a PVR and what a forum.

I've tried numerous PVR software, I also have a dbox and a dreambox where I have been trying to find just the right software or product, that has the feature I'm looking for. Now I have found it, well almost.

I have a budget techno trend DVB-C card that I can use with software like MyTheatre, RitzDVB, ProgDVB etc. Now I don't have a driver as such, these products support DVBCore and dvbcore has a graph system for configuring cards without drivers.

Any chance support for DVBCore could be added to GBPVR in the future? This means a whole host of DVB cards will start working with GBPVR.

Anyway, great product, great plugins and great support. Keep up the good work.

What exactly is DVBCore anyway? (Not that I have anything to do with GBPVR programming but just curious.)

I'll be honest with you - there is absolutely no chance I will be adding support for DVBCore in the future. I provide direct support digital cards with BDA drivers, which is just about every modern DVB card.

GB-PVR has been tested with over 65 different digital cards, but I'm sure there are dozens more that also work. Pretty much every new digital card produce dthese days comes with BDA drivers.

I'm fairly sure this card has BDA driver. I've personally used a TechnoTrend DVB-S Budget card without any problems. DVB-C support in GB-PVR is relatively new, so only been tested with a few cards, but its quite likely you can use this card with GB-PVR by simply adding the a section to the bda.ini file.
