HD video support

I would like to see HD video support via firewire connection to HD source. In particular the Motorola DCT 6200.

I am currently able to record video from this device, but I can't stream it to a video window directly. This would be a very cool feature.

I wont be doing this myself, but another user is welcome to develop a plugin that can do this task, in much the same way normanr has used the plugin interfaces to develop the WDM recorder plugin.

Its not practical for me to do this work, since I'm in New Zealand and no direct access to this type of technology. Its not the sort of thing I'd want to develop remotely.
