Hi,
Just trying to get my head around the new plugin, my current config has been running fine without hitch for the last couple of weeks, I have GBPVR controlling 2 dboxes, pulling the EPG for 150 ish channels, only 1's I am not able to get working are Front Row but as I never or rarely watch the films on there not a problem, over the last week or so i have been putting the plugin thru its paces and have recorded on both boxes at the same time, watched live TV whilst recording, recorded from a multitude of channels without hitch. So I am happy with my setup. I did setup a third dbox and wacthed that LiveTv whilst recording 2 programmes on the other 2, again without problem.

Regards the new plugin I have tried various things, scheduling a recording from the dbox and seeing if it appeared as a pending recording on GBPVR it did not. Scheduling a recording from GBPVR and then seeing if it appeared in the timer list on the DBox, it did not.

Am I misunderstading the process.

BTW awesome work on the plugin

Thanks

Orinoco

Only 1 small bug that I have just remembered, is when a dbox completes a scheduled recording GBPVR does not always release it completely, ie the clock is still flashing on the display of the dbox and there are only a limited number of channels avail for selection, this causes a problem if that dbox then receives a request to record another channel that isnt in the 6 or 7 channels that are avail from the channel list when gbpvr has control of the box? If I quickly use LiveTv then the box is released the clock stops flashing and all the channels are available for selection

Problem might be the Images you are using as they are modded for UK usage and use certain "plugins" that enable you your "free" tv ;-)

It is always best to use a CVS Reference Image like:

DietmarW
Yadi
or JtG

as the added parts in your Image could be the cause of this. It would be quiete hard for the creator of this plugin to find a fault...

Maybe the word 'synchronize' is out of place here. What the new version does (at least with my setup) is adding timer events to the dbox for each scheduled recording on the gbpvr-side - not the other way around.

Precondition is that the dbox is not switched off (deep standby), so that it can be reached over http. If not, a timer is set up, and when the timer elapses (timeout is also configurable), the plugin tries again to add the timer event to the dbox.
Also this option needs to be enabled first in the configuration.

If you can reproduce this behaviour, please post your GBPVRRecordingService.log and I'll have a closer look.

Hi all,

I have a few questions before I buy I D Box 2.

1) I am in UK and what hardware of the Box to get? (Nokia, Phillips, Sagem.. etc..)

2) Can the box be controled by the PVR-150 IR Blaster?

3) Anything else I should know...

Thanks in advance.

Hi Dave,

Basically this should work, but with this plugin, there is no need to do so. The only connection between the gbpvr-computer and the dbox is a 10Mbps network link. Channels are changed by the plugin itself.

I thought that method was slow. Well maybe I am wrong.

I have just got my DBOX.... And your plugin is FANTASTIC!.. it works perfect!

Channel changing is not instant BUT it is quicker than using RedRemote on my other box!

Thanks for a great plugin!

(now if there was a quick way to put in over 600 channels then that would be good..)

looks like good work alibert -
I cant get it to run as yet - thats no surprise as Im running a dm500s which is using the enigma webinterface (as most do now).

Has anyone done any work with getting it to run on enigma - otherwise i'll dive in and do it myself - just wanted to check that Im not reinventing wheels before I start.

Regards

Hi Rayman,

it seems that enigma and neutrino use a different webinterface (to change channels, get pids, and so on).
But if ggrab basically works with enigma, I could add support in the next version, too.
Could you please confirm that ggrab works from the commandline with your setup?
